Hey everyone!

We just got back from a whirlwind tour of NYC to kick off the first day and week of summer!  With us was the incomparable Mr. Sun, mascot of the summer and our new game Walking On Sunshine.

We hit many famous spots around NYC and spread a little summer love to all.  Check out our gallery to see our exploits around New York.

As in word play people…

We’ve blasted out our press releases and review codes for our newest game Walking On Sunshine and we’ve started getting some looks.  As is our excited tradition we wanted to share a bit of it with you.  So here’s the very first review that we’ve found on the tubes!

from Dotted Music

Hey everyone,

been a while and we apologize for falling out of touch; we’ve been hard at work on our second iphone game and now that it’s been submitted to Apple we’re finally ready to share it with you.

We’re very proud of our work on this game and we think you’ll all dig it too…

Welcome…  To Jurassic-PSYCH!  Sorry, we’ve been wanting to do that for a while…

The game is called Walking on Sunshine, based upon the iconic song by “Katrina and the Waves”.  It’s a puzzle-action game that’s all about repeating visual patterns to swipe away the clouds that have covered up the sun.  It’s a great casual game that scales in difficulty quite well so the hardcore set can expect a good challenge too.

Gray clouds have covered the sky and prevented the sunlight from breaking through.  Slowly, all the beauty and life is fading from The Earth.  It’s up to you to brush those clouds away with the power of your swipes.  Take control of the wind and follow the patterns to collect the extra sunlight and fill your battery to help the Earth grow strong and beautiful again.  You can also see how many Kilowatts you’ve collected and share your score with your friends through Facebook or our online leaderboard.

-Featuring the world premiere of the Soweto Gospel Choir’s cover of “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and The Waves.

-Beautiful graphics by Nathan J Crow

-Procedurally-generated patterns for infinite replay

-Show off your score on Facebook or our online Leaderboard.

The game is on sale now in the App Store, check it out and spread the word!

Oh yeeeeeah,

Grab a hand-rolled and fire up the speakers it’s time to take a strange trip back to a past that never really existed.  Homeboy Brad Smith put together a totally chip-tuned, 8-bit version of everyone’s first stoner album Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd.

So hook up your old NES and throw in your copy of The Legend of Zelda, bump the album, light it up and get lost for a couple of hours.

Hey-hey!

Our good pal J-Stache is trying to position himself as a media-pundit of sorts.  If you didn’t catch it on TV last night, J-Stache was locked in combat with none other than the mustache of Carlos Santana on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (Spoiler alert; don’t mess with J-Stache).

Shortly thereafter, our homey must have taken one too many hits and ended up in one of his ranting moods and of course just HAD to submit an article to Crave online.  Well, the article went live today and we just want our friends in the games development community that J-Stache’s comments are not representative of our opinions; we just make the games for the old codger!!!

Check out the article and let us know what you think!

Rock n Soul people, rock n soul

It’s been a huge press week for our favorite anthropomorphic foul-mouthed 80′s Mustache.  Check the links below for a round-up of all the press we’ve been getting!

-Hall & Oates Finds New Fans With Old Mustache, Wall Street Journal

-John Oates’ Drug Addled J-Stache Vs Super Mario, Anti-Music

And finally, a link to the app store to buy the game!  :)

Sweet news at the end of last week while we were away at GDC…

the Wall Street Journal printed an article about Primary Wave’s marketing efforts around our boys Hall & Oates and as a part of that effort they mentioned our iphone app Run J-Stache, Run.

Billboard.com also showed Hall & Oates some love but lost a couple points in our book for not mentioning the app…  Nothing but love though.

Check them out and spread the love!!!

Hey everyone,

just wanted to let you all know that Run J-Stache, Run is now .99 cents on the App store.  We had a super successful soft-launch thanks to all our friends so now we ask that all of you that checked us out and downloaded the game for free please take a moment and let your friends know about it!  Thus far we’re word of mouthing the game until a certain international journal decides to print that article about us that they keep saying is forthcoming…

Also, we’ve got at least two more awesome updates planned for the game.  The first one should drop in about a week and will have at least ten new levels along with a smattering of bug fixes and other improvements.

So thanks again and again for all the support and if you find it in your hearts to Spread the love, well then spread the love people!  :)

OOOOOOh Yeah!

The first official update for Run J-Stache, Run is live on the itunes App store!  Version 1.2 gives all you players out there 14 new levels (9 on the critical path and 5 new bonus levels), a new level order to create a better difficulty curve AND lots of bug fixes (namely, a fix for that pesky pop-out bug).

We just wanted to take this opportunity to again thank all our friends and fans that have downloaded and rated our game so well!  Our soft-launch has been super-successful so far and the best is yet to come.  Rumors about that the Wall Street Journal might be doing an article on us next week and we’re already hard at work on the next software update that will add even more new levels and functionality!

So for now, keep up your awesome job word-of-mouthing Run J-Stache, Run and keep your eyes here for word on the next update!
